Early Life
Simon Iyore Guobadia is of Nigerian descent; he was born on June 2, 1964. He is a native of Benin City, Edo State, in Southern Nigeria. Simon’s father, Stanley Guobadia, worked as an officer of the Nigerin Prison Services, where he retired as the Assistant Director of Prisons.
There is little information about his early life, but he has a sibling known as Mary Awo-Osagie and Martina Egbebalakhamen West-Idahosa (nee Guobadia), who passed on in 2001. He had his education at Layola College, a Boys only Government-owned College in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria.
