Chudi Ofodile, the executive director of Finance and Administration, has succeeded Dr. Bashir Jamoh as the director general of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA). Jamoh stepped down from his position.
On March 10, 2024, after his four-year term ended, Jamoh turned over the reins.
On March 10, 2020, Dr. Jamoh succeeded Dr. Dakuku Peterside, as reported in LEADERSHIP.
At the handover ceremony at Lagos’s NIMASA Towers, Jamoh expressed gratitude to the federal government for the chance to be the agency’s director general and tasked the new administration with continuing the work of his predecessors.
For the opportunity to serve Nigeria in this way, I am thankful to both the federal government and the Almighty Allah. I feel incredibly fortunate to have had the opportunity to hold this role and make a positive impact on the marine sector in Nigeria.
