Medical Expert (Full-Time) – Red Deer, Alberta
Main Objective
Initiation of prescribed respiratory therapy, including assessment, education, recording, and follow-up to assure equipment functioning and client compliance, is the responsibility of the healthcare professional. This can be done either in the Medigas office or at the client’s home.
One important aspect of the role is to promote Medigas’ products and services to referral sources. This includes providing educational in-services to the medical and healthcare communities.
Crucial Responsibilities
Provide in-home respiratory therapy to patients as directed, including evaluations, instruction, documentation, and follow-up to check on equipment functionality and therapy adherence.
Transporting and exchanging heavy machinery up to 60 lbs. may be required when working at clients’ residences.
Possible long-distance travel involved in in-home client visits
Meetings with patients undergoing sleep and oxygen therapy
Carry out in-service training for respiratory equipment in collaboration with a range of community organizations
Incentives for referring customers to purchase goods and services.
Establish and keep strong relationships with clients and referrals
Carry out all responsibilities in a safe manner; Assist with the onboarding and training of new staff members as required.
Be a part of a regular schedule for who is on call

Qualifications R.R.T. Cardholder
Work history
Preferably has at least two years of relevant experience.
A strong set of knowledge, skills, and abilities in homecare and sales
Superb communication and customer service abilities
Capacity to multitask and set priorities Detail-oriented and results-focused
Possess a dedication to client and personal safety; able to perform quickly and effectively under pressure
