After the government stepped in, cement prices in northern Nigeria plummeted to N8,000

In response to the rising cost of construction supplies, the federal government has lowered the official price range for a bag of cement in the North from N10,000 to N9,500, according to BusinessDay. This marks a significant fall from earlier rates.

Nigerian cement prices are still higher than those in other African nations.

Cement bags measuring 50 kg are sold by industry leaders including Dangote, Lafarge, and BUA for almost the same price.

All cement brands provide wholesale alternatives, so buying a trailer load of cement at once is the most cost-effective.

After reaching above N13,000 per bag prior to government involvement, prices have dropped significantly in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Niger, and Nasarawa States.

In these states, you may find major cement brands at costs ranging from N7,500 to N9,000, Lafarge Cement from N8,000 to N9,300, and Dangote Cement from N8,000 to N9,500.
