You will play an essential role in our operations as a Plant Maintenance Technician, assisting the Plant Manager in ensuring that all machinery and equipment are well-maintained and operating at peak efficiency.
Primary Duties
The following responsibilities are assigned to the equipment maintenance team: • Equipment Monitoring: They are responsible for regularly inspecting and monitoring the condition of machinery, diagnosing issues, and promptly addressing them to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of machinery. • Facilities Maintenance: They ensure that buildings and property are maintained according to regulations, including cleanliness, manicured areas, and winter accessibility. • Documentation: Thoroughly record all maintenance activities, including parts used and equipment status. • Safety: They promote a culture of safety and adhere to all food and safety regulations.
• Collaborate: Assist production staff in reaching operational targets while working collaboratively with other team members.
Experience Needed
– Possess a high school diploma or its equivalent; technical certification is considered an asset. – Demonstrated experience in industrial equipment maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting. – Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail. – Knowledge of pressure and steam systems. – Proficient in both written and verbal communication. – Dedication to safety and compliance with regulations. – Willingness to start work at 5:30am, ignite ovens, and complete boiler checks. – Flexibility in scheduling and availability to respond to emergencies.
