Senator Ubah: Development Commission Will Calm South East Anger

According to Ifeanyi Ubah, a senator from Anambra State’s Anambra South Senatorial District, the South East Development Commission’s initiative would alleviate the region’s feelings of marginalization.

Ubah was quite optimistic that the South East Development Bill, which the National Assembly passed so quickly yesterday, will solve the developmental issues in the area and issued a statement praising the move.

After President Bola Tinubu assents to the bill, he stressed that it must be immediately put into action to promote economic growth, infrastructure development, and social welfare for the people of the region through the focused intervention it contains.

The federal politician was extremely appreciative of his Senate and House colleagues for swiftly hearing and passing the bill when he introduced it in the National Assembly.

In a statement made on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, he thanked the upper chamber of the Nigerian Senate for passing the South East Development Commission Bill. The bill had been introduced to the present 10th Senate and had passed First Reading on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, as SB.129. He made this statement in accordance with Order 42 of the Senate Standing Rules.
