A major player in the fundraising strategy of the ROM Governors is the Director, Annual Giving, who reports to the Vice President, Donor Engagement & Experience.

Developing, managing, and delivering our annual giving programs are all part of this position’s responsibilities, which are critical to the expansion of our Annual Fund portfolio.

Additionally, this position is responsible for creating and implementing the Annual Fund donor path for each segment. The ideal applicant has a history of growing Annual Giving portfolios, is creative, and has extensive expertise in fundraising.

They ought to be well-versed in digital marketing, analytics, CRM best practices, market dynamics, and yearly giving.

As a senior member of the Donor Experience & Engagement team, the Director, Annual Giving will play a pivotal role in our fundraising effort to back ROM’s initiatives.

ADVISORY ROLE: Direct the yearly Giving Portfolio of the ROM Governors: Create and oversee the Annual Giving portfolio in order to meet the fundraising and financial objectives stated in the yearly plan.

Create a detailed plan that takes into account the donor journey, charity landscape dynamics, and yearly giving practices, and then put it into action.

Create and implement customer relationship management methods, such as market segmentation, donor journey mapping, and list upkeep. Ensure the smooth rollout of electronic solicitations by supervising their testing, analysis, measurement, and reporting.

Interact with the ROM Executive, government officials, donors, and patrons as a representative of the governors both within and externally.

Oversee and create the yearly allocation plans. Establish and Maintain Interdepartmental Partnerships: Build and sustain strong relationships with key stakeholders within ROM and the ROM Governors to guarantee brand cohesion, optimal appeal timing, and strategic harmony.

Effective project management, role clarification, and open lines of communication are the hallmarks of a good leader in these interdisciplinary teams. SKILLS AND ASSIGNMENTS: Years of Successful Annual Fundraising: Experience managing annual giving portfolios and campaigns for at least six years is required.

Academic Record: Bachelor’s degree in a related subject, including fundraising, or relevant work experience is required. Proficient in Technical Areas: Familiarity with popular fundraising systems like MailChimp and Raiser’s Edge as well as web analytics tools like Google Analytics.

Exceptional organizational and project management abilities complemented by proven talent in innovative problem-solving, planning, and strategic thinking.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for establishing and maintaining positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

Competence in both written and verbal expression. Capacity to Lead and Manage: Proven track record of coordinating the efforts of internal and external stakeholders to meet project objectives and timelines.

Independence and resourcefulness: Skilled in juggling numerous tasks at once, paying close attention to detail, and reliably completing all of them by the due date.
